Star wars secret of the empire torrent download

How do I download Star Wars: Empire at war. Posted by 5 years ago. Star Wars: Empire at War v1. Star Wars Empire At War 1. Classic Star Wars game, it never lived up to Galactic Battlegrounds but this is as good as it gets without going back to OS 9!

Sierra Update Download. I thought that every aspect of the demo was satisfactory, except one glaring aspect of the demo: it's very difficult to play the game with a single-click mouse. I have a Mac, so I naturally have this very sleek little white mouse. Empire at War manages to integrate and balance the two experiences very well. Determining just how to build up your forces and take over the galaxy is every bit as important if not exactly thrilling as squaring off against your enemy in a face-to-face battle.

The basic setup of the galactic level gives the players a few starting planets and some starting units and a bit of cash. Some specialized buildings can only be built by certain factions, or on certain planets. The Ion Cannon, which disables ships in orbit, can only be built by the Rebel player. The Hutt Palace, where you recruit bounty hunters, can only be built on Tatooine, Nal Hutta and a couple of other planets. Owning more planets gives you more resources that let you build bigger armies to take over even more planets.

Each planet offers unique bonuses: gaining Mon Calamari will let you start pumping out cruisers and Star Destroyers, Naboo gives Rebel tanks a bonus, Bespin generates bonus mining credits, etc.

The galactic map also makes use a wide variety of heroes, each of whom has a unique role to play in your overall strategy. In a planetary battle Chewbacca can take command of an enemy vehicle while Colonel Veers can deploy additional squads of stormtroopers from hit massive AT-AT. To counter this effect, generic bounty hunters can be hired and paid off to eliminate a rival hero from the game.

In keeping with the spirit of the franchise, the two sides in the conflict have unique advantages and limitations. The Rebels, for instance, have ready access to all kinds of information on the status of Imperial forces.

The Empire enjoys no such luxury. There are plenty of other differences in the way each side plays but that should at least indicate that the two sides will have to employ very different strategies on the galactic map which definitely adds to the replayability of the game.

Loren The Amazon Princess. The Star Wars spin-off industry has grown to the size of a red giant since the movie was released 19 years ago, and the enhanced CD, Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire, is an indication that the tie-ins are getting a little baroque.

We're talking a soundtrack for a book: a swollen orchestral John Williams-wannabe score by Joel McNeely tied to the latest SW hardcover. The enhanced section is strictly for bug-eyed completists, with publicity bios of the creative parties George Lucas included , paperback cover art, storyboards, and information on Star Wars comic books, toys, and videogames.

My advice: Wait until Lucas delivers the next movie. Shadows of the Empire is the first port of a Nintendo 64 game to the PC platform. However, despite the great disparity of graphics performances between the two systems, both versions are quasi similar, with a light advantage surprisingly going to the PC version.

This of course is not without raising a question. How can a PC game be better than its counterpart on the Nintendo's bit console? The answer is simple, the game relies on the power of 3D graphics cards.

Consequently, only the owners of such cards will be able to enjoy the newest Star Wars title from LucasArts. Unfortunately, not all 3D cards are equal, and should you own a card that is not supported by the game, it will be like having the fastest car with no gas to drive it.

We can reasonably imagine that LucasArts will release patches that, once applied to the original game, will add support for other 3D accelerators. But as of now, only 3DFx Voodoo, Rendition Verite , Permedia 2 and other chipsets capable of similar performances will do the trick. With no specific reasons given as to why only these 3D chipsets were initially selected, we can only hypothesize that it was either because of DirectX 5. With a graphics extravaganza that gives no rest to the eyes, SOTE delivers incredible game play coupled with amazingly fast graphics.

Depending the amount of memory on your 3D card, you will be able to play from resolutions ranging from by to by through standard SVGA modes by and by , all modes displaying 65, colors simultaneously.
